Braid Family Practice provides a same day appointment service. Please telephone between 08:30am & 10:30am *on the morning you wish to be seen. Staff will take details and arange for the duty clinican to return your call, usually within the hour. The GP / Nurse will then arrange an appropriate appointment with you.
GPs would encourage patients to give as much information as possible to the Receptionist, to ensure they don’t miss anything requiring urgent attention.
Please note the reason we are able to provide a same day service is, by ensuing appointment requests are received by 10:30am, GPs can plan all of their work schedule around patient appointments on a daily basis. This system also ensures those who require an appointment will receive one without waiting and those who require other interventions receive timely clinical advice / treatment without using appointments unnecessarily.
Please note that we still will provide urgent appointments after 10:30 in the event of an emergency.
Practice Nurse appointments and other clinics e.g. baby vaccinations can still be booked in advance.
